The World Eaters have arrived

Very excited that my Horus Heresy army arrived from Forgeworld.  This should keep me busy for a while (as if I didn't have enough miniatures to keep me painting for years on end).  I talked about this a little bit after Adepticon, but I'm very much looking forward to playing Horus Heresy as well as putting paint to these beautiful models.  I cannot tell you how detailed they are and how happy I am with the quality.

Years ago in 40k, I played Chaos Space Marines, primarily Khorne, until the rules took a large dump on the Blood God.  I've waited and waited to play them again, salivating over some of the Forge World models and upgrades for World Eaters Chaos Space Marines.  However, when trying to decide on which Legion to play in Horus Heresy, this experience made that easy for me.  I was hesitant to paint a white army, but I think I can make it work and have found some examples from others to get ideas from.

Stay tuned for updates.  I'll leave you with pictures of my loot and the start of my Resin baths - I went ahead and started soaking 10 Tactical Marines, my weapon packs, and a Rhino.  I figure these will give me good practice for the color scheme before I break out the fun stuff.  Thanks for reading and happy painting!

Look at the majesty!
